Today I thought I would use @Antonio Centeno line of Mission Fragrances, Commitment. I’m using this scent trigger to remind myself of how I got here today, and everything I have. My marriage, my three kids, career, house and so on are all a result of one very important thing: Commitment. Thank you for creating this scent with so much character.
Commitment is so good. It’s a straight 180 degrees flip in the other direction from what I usually wear, but I’ve found myself looking to it quite a bit. So many layers, magnificently done.
That bright opening followed by a warm drydown – the woods, oud, amber; comforting and relaxing. Reminding you about your “raison d’etre” and what we all strive for.

Todays pick is mission fragrances Commitment. What a deep mature frag from the three. It’s like the older brother of the set in my opinion. Great for an evening out or a special occasion, or if you just want to wear a fantastic masculine scent anywhere you go. This frag has the presence of oud with a very rich depth to it.
Masterfully crafted with a blend of excellent ingredients gives this fragrance presence and strong performance, as well. There are a lot of notes I really like in this juice from oud to pepper spice, tonka, vanilla and myrrh to name a few.
By Leveraging the power of scent with this fragrance I’m reminded of my commitments in life. To GOD, my family, my community, and this brotherhood. Have a great day today men. Keep smelling great you scented gentlemen.

Time, once more, to take one small courageous action to honour my commitment to being my best self. SOTD is therefore Commitment, an Amber, woody scent with “notes of Vanilla, Tonka, and Oud” giving Commitment a “luxurious and unforgettable scent that will impress in the right setting”. There isn’t a bad one in the set, I really like the peppery and patchouli notes with this, plus the performance is phenomenal.

I’m still a bit in disbelief that I finally have a MF set but today I decided to give Commitment a try.
It has a creamy, spicy incense opening thanks to the vanilla and myrrh. There are also some subtle floral notes from the mimosa and myrtle, along with a clean vetiver.
In the middle, there is more spice and incense from the pepper and olibanum (frankincense). A sweetness from the tonka bean and some woody notes from the cedarwood and guaiac wood.
The base is musky, mossy, and ambery on top of a heavy woodsy base from patchouli, aromatic pine resin, amber wood, black agar, and oud. This creates a darkness that is smooth and mysterious, and utterly masculine.
Overall, this is really a great fragrance. I’ve seen it compared to Tom Ford’s Oud Wood but I haven’t had a chance to experience that fragrance yet. To me, this is a more complex, elegant, richer version of Versace’s Oud Noir. It’s mainly the oud note that really draws the comparison here. It’s a very similar, smoky, antique wood furniture type of oud accord. The overall scent is creamy, smoky, spicy, ambery, and musky.
Performance is pretty solid! I got right around 8 hours on my skin, maybe a bit more. Projection was about 3 feet or so for the first couple hours, then probably about a foot for another hour or two before becoming a skin scent at around the halfway point. Sillage seems to be solid, as well, as I was catching whiffs throughout the day whilst moving around. You will definitely leave a nice scent trail in your wake.

Well friends, work has been insanely busy the last while so I’ve been pretty quiet on the forums. But I had to share a story.
There has been lots of chatter about Mission Fragrances, with Antonio’s release of 100 sets. I purchased mine a while ago as one of my level rewards here and have been very impressed.
As I have previously mentioned, I have been experimenting with different fragrances, and making mental notes about the reactions I get. Obviously included in that list of responses is the woman I have been seeing. Up to now her favourite has been Bleu de Chanel, but when I saw her recently I gave Commitment a try. She noticed it immediately, and would not stop raving about it. She declared it her absolute favourite.
So for those who were wondering if Mission Fragrances are worth it? Hell yeah! Thanks
Donald K.
It’s raining.
It’s cold.
I’m doing something good for myself in the long term but unpleasant and hard in the short term. That calls for a strong scent/psychological cue.
“Commitment” by Mission Fragrances always reminds me of a juggernaut roller, crushing all opposition/obstacles in its way. Powering through and getting the job done.
It is a very strong mental cue for me and always gets me psyched up.
Today’s challenge was significantly harder than anticipated. But I met my personal commitment and got it done. And am now relaxing and enjoying the fragrance.

With Mission Fragrances on sale right now, I’m completing my 3-day trifecta with my favorite of the set: Commitment. I know I probably said that yesterday, but I truly love them all.
Commitment is woody, resinous, dark, and sensual, yet remarkably clean and refined. It’s versatile enough to wear at the office (like I am today) or on a romantic date night. Despite being a woody amber, it works just as well in the summer as it does in the winter.
The pine resin really sets this fragrance apart, giving it a distinctly “American” feel. It evokes fond memories of summer days at the baseball field, with the scent of pine tarred bats lingering in the air. The patchouli rounds it off beautifully and it’s unmistakably @Antonio Centeno signature touch, evident in every Vitaman product I own. Well crafted and expertly refined, Commitment is the epitome of a true gentleman’s fragrance.

I have been dealing with a cold front and needed perfume for work yesterday and today in Colorado. As the temperature was so low, I decided to open and try my new bottle of Commitment by Mission Fragrances. This one is labeled for cold weather, so it is the proper one to wear during these sub-zero temperatures.
On the opening, I get hit with a strong aroma of sweet incense at the opening accompanied by a creamy vanilla scent. The opening is very Middle Eastern to my nose due to the strong incense, reminiscent of the aroma you may experience when attending mass during the holidays.
After about 3 or 4 minutes, the aroma profile is joined with woody notes that help balance the sweetness of the opening incense. Along with these woody notes, they are also joined by spices and the creamy notes of the opening. The aroma projects well off my body for the next two hours, offering a great aroma bubble around me for about a foot.
After two hours, the scent comes closer to the skin. At this point, the aroma gains some depth, with amber and oud joining the rest of the notes. Along with these, the profile also went a bit more earthy, which was from the patchouli and vetiver, which I finally could pick up. The scent stayed on my skin and clothes for about 7 hours.
Yesterday, Commitment was a great fragrance when the high was 4ºF (-15ºC) and a low of -2ºF (-18ºC). The richness of this scent helped cut through the cold and maintain a silage around me even at these frigid temperatures.
As for the smell, I would say that it greatly reminded me of Tom Ford Oud Wood with a middle east twist. I do find Commitment takes the idea of Oud Wood and tops it off with a strong aroma of incense from the myrrh note it has. Furthermore, the spices are more pronounced over Oud Wood.
Ultimately, Commitment is Oud Wood but with a greater focus on the spices rather than the woods. This fragrance did a great job of bringing my mind to my memories of visiting the holy land some years ago. I was met with a strong incense aroma accompanied by wood and earthy notes. This was the scent that my memories have linked to my time inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.
If you’re a fan of Oud wood and Oriental notes, Commitment by Mission Fragrances will be right up your alley. For me, this is a fragrance I would reserve for the fall and winter seasons. While Antonio suggests it could also work in the spring, I find it a bit too spicy and creamy for the heat we get in Jalisco and Colorado. Despite this, I thoroughly enjoyed this fragrance and hope you’ll have the chance to experience it soon.

Mission Fragrances Commitment – A (lengthy) review of an olfactory journey
commitment
noun
com·mit·ment k?-?mit-m?nt
Making a commitment involves dedicating yourself to something, like a person or a cause. Before you make a commitment, think carefully. A commitment obligates you to do something.
After a surprise gift from a friend ? I couldn’t believe my eyes and what journey was about to unfold in front of me. Many times in my life I’ve used commitment as a major factor in my life; usually a serious decision that affects my life. Commitment is why I have been with my wife for 21 years now (11 years married) and counting. Commitment is the promises I make to my kids and following through every time. It’s what drives me through life, and keeping my word to those around you. Commitment is also, staying true to this group!
So 3-4 sprays in my regular spots and the adventure unfolds:
Wow. Tom Ford Oud Wood, step aside; the depth and character in this one gives you a run for your money.
This isn’t your typical fragrance. It’s a captivating olfactory journey designed to inspire focus and determination. Formal events. Heck, use it every day to stay on track with YOUR commitments. Let this remind you.
The fragrance opens with a bracing burst of citrus, a blend of grapefruit and bergamot that invigorates the senses. This is quickly followed by a heart of aromatic lavender and clary sage, which lend a sense of calm clarity. The base unfolds with a touch of earthy vetiver and musky ambrette, providing a grounding balance to the uplifting citrus and herbal notes.
Commitment is more than just a pleasing scent; it’s an experience. The citrus and herbal notes are said to promote focus and concentration, (Antonio’s scent trigger courses anyone, ring a bell?) while the earthy base provides a sense of stability. Whether you’re tackling a challenging project or simply seeking a confidence boost, this can be a powerful olfactory tool.
Commitment is a unique and compelling fragrance that goes beyond mere aesthetics. It’s a well-blended scent that is both invigorating and grounding, making it a perfect choice for those seeking a fragrance to enhance their focus and determination. If you’re looking for a scent that can elevate your everyday experience, look no further. This, to me, is a formal event where others are making a commitment, or a night out with my wife and remind me of our commitment to each other.
Stay fresh gents and most importantly, stay committed.
